Free Article Spinner Online

May 30, 2009 by
Filed under XsitePro Internet Marketing

Article Marketing has been the cornerstone for many online and offline businesses. There’s no denying that articles generate traffic and will continue to do so for future. You can write a new article for each keyword and then write multiple versions of that article for maximum effect. However, there is a better way of creating all those articles so that each article you place on your Xsitepro Website is unique!

You might have said at one time “The best things in life are free”?

Well, I think that’s true on the internet.

I was reading a post in a famous Internet Marketing Forum called Earn1KADay and found a link to a free article spinning site. I really didn’t expect to find anything of any quality, some kind of poorly designed script or just some below average giveaway in an attempt to get my name and email address. Holy Cow…I was shocked.

I’ve been using Power Article Rewriter to spin my articles into unique and readable articles….and this free service was almost as good!

I won’t get into the reasons for using spun articles but will say that I get very good results with them.

OK…., here’s the link to “The Free Article Spinner”. I dare you…check it out!

Belcher Button Beats Buy Now

May 29, 2009 by
Filed under Internet Marketing

Xsitepro users are always using a version of Paypal’s “Buy Now” button. So a discussion about the buy button may not seem important. You’re wrong if you think that way. Some dude by the name of Perry Belcher came up with some interesting stats regarding the graphical appearance and text of the standard buy now button. It’s all described below in a post from Internet Marketing Tips…Add to Cart regarding the use of a change for the Buy Now to “Add to Cart”!

Xsitepro users take notice!!! If internet marketers are using the text “Add to Cart”…..you should at least give it a try. Actually you should test this type of button versus what you are currently using now on your xsitepro pages.

What’s up with the “Add to Cart” payment button I’ve been seeing around for the last couple of months? Seems like more and more big time marketers are using this type of payment button on their sales pages these days. Come to find out….it’s for good reason :)

Once you see big name marketer’s using a technique that differs from the norm, you can bet that somebody has discovered a technique that increases conversions or sales…..and that means more profit! Be careful though, internet marketers tend to act a little like lemmings. Sometimes we copy techniques, colors, styles or fonts and before you know it everybody is doing it….problem is, that the change really was never proven necessary or successful.

The Belcher Button or Add to Cart Explained

Anyway…..I’ve been seeing everyone using this new “Add to Cart” button but couldn’t find much information about it. That’s all changed…thanks to fellow marketer Garrie Wilson…Behold we have the……………

Now we have “The Belcher Button”!

This is the button you’ve probably seen around that is orange in color and has “Add to Cart” for the text. You’ll also see the price above the button, both the regular price and the current price. Under the button you see another “Add to Cart”….this time in the standard hyperlink blue with an underline. Finally at the very bottom is a line of credit card images. Then the entire image is surrounded by a box composed of dashed lines.

Perry has tested his “Add to Cart” button or as he calls it, “The Belcher Button” on hundreds of sites in dozens of different markets. He has done explicit testing on the button and has found it to increase his closing rates from 35% to 320% over any other button around and he adds that he’s tested it in over 10,000 transactions.

Perry has given permission for anyone to use the button. Thanks be to Perry for letting this info out! Check out any of Perry’s stuff, he speaks with clarity and wisdom……and is someone you can learn a lot from. You can go to his blog at www.perrybelcher.com to read more.

Check out the video below where he explains in more detail the reasoning and results of the Belcher Button.

Here’s what the Belcher Button looks like!

Here’s a psd file of the image in case you’d want to change anything. However, I would be careful not to change anything except the prices. Jesus from Blue Square Web Design took the original image and created a photoshop .PSD image for anyone who would like to further edit the button

Garrie Wilson put together a set of images and files for the Belcher Button…..I was going to package some images for you however, for now he beat me to the punch! His package is awesome download The Belcher Button: Redux free of charge…..hurry though you never know when he might start charging $2.00 :)

How to Make Page Background Stationary

May 22, 2009 by
Filed under Xsitepro Technical

Someone over at the Xsitepro Forum asked the following question:

How do I get my background to remain static while my page moves?

With Xsitepro version 2.0 this is an easy task to accomplish.

Go to the ‘Other Tab’

Go to ‘Website Settings’

Go to ‘Advanced Image Tiling’

Now look in the Margins dropdown and you will need to select on of the NO SCROLL optins depending how the background image is tiled.

That’s it!

I really like the stationary background and would use it often when designing websites with Dreamweaver. Xsitepro really makes it simple to create a stationary background in which the page scrolls up or down depending where your at in the website.

Here’s a way to accomplish a stationary background using html coding.

Using CSS

body {
background-image: url(coffee/images/bk3-opaque.jpg);
background:url(coffee/images/bk3-opaque.jpg) fixed;
}

Another Option

background-image: url(../images/CHOOSEYOURIMAGE);
background-position:top;
background-repeat:repeat-x; (or “no-repeat” if a full size wallpaper background)
background-size: 100%;
background-color: CHOOSEYOURCOLOR;
background-attachment:fixed;

One more Option

Place in body tags

<body background =”yourimage.gif” bgproperties=”fixed”>

If you need more information on how to do this, simply google “stationary background image”
